Well he had a great week, (till Saturdays scare) Friday I got to pick up mums from Hayden's school, they were beautiful! I decorated my front porch and walk way with them! (I will post a picture soon) Friday mom and Justin came for the weekend, we had a fun night and then Saturday we were up and getting ready for the Colgate football game, this is when the fun began! We walked to the game, and the boys fell asleep in the double stroller, so I stayed down on the grass with them till they got up (about half time) Then we went up in the bleachers with Mom and Justin, it was really sunny so when we sat down I put sunscreen on the boys. Then left to take Hayden and Justin to the restrooms and to get something to drink. When we got back (about 15 minutes later), there was something majorly wrong with Cameron. He was very glassy eyed, breaking out in a rash, his eyes were extremely blood shot and watering, his nose was running like mad and he was kinda droopy...(weird, very weird)...he hadn't eaten since breakfast, so I ran him down to the food stand and got him something to eat and drink, he didn't want the drink, and he only ate the cookie, all the while his symptoms seemed to get worse. I thought maybe I got sunscreen in his eyes, so I tried to wash it out with some water.....took him back up in the stands with mom, we went back and forth about what we should do, take him home or go to the hospital, finally got Brian's attention down on the field, and ran him down to Brian, (cause Brian's the level headed one) he said take him to the hospital, OK then (thankfully its right next to the football stadium) After checking in at the ER at 3:15 (Cameron looking like death with runny eyes and nose) we WAITED and waited and WAITED, and we waited long enough that whatever was wrong seemed to be going away....and by the time we finally saw the doctor...Cameron had gone from lethargic to bouncing off the walls...still with mildly bloodshot watery eyes and runny nose. The Doctor deemed him worthy of Benedryll and said he suspects that Cameron is allergic to sunscreen! WHAT!!! (I have used this same sunscreen all summer) At 5:45 we walked out of the ER with a perfectly happy 2 year old and a piece of paper saying that they would bill us for there expertise!
gotta love this Health Care System we have, I do have to say, Thank you God i guess it could have been worse!
what do you do with a fair skinned kid who can't wear sunscreen!?!

A friend of mine uses Lavera. It's on the expensive side, but whatever. Was that guy serious? Allergic to sunscreen? Hope there's no big copay for that er visit.
One time we waited so damn long at the ER for a busted eyebrow that I decided to leave. After three hours, the bleeding had stopped and we were both falling asleep in the waiting room. (it was 2 am)
The ER sucks.
Unless you can get your kid to scream BLOODY murder. WE were seen immediately for a busted thumb with Caleb.
Weird about the sunscreen but I am sure there is something out there you can use.
Thanks for the stalking. Due to my warped perception of reality there's actually no difference between stalking and friendly concern, it's all attention and it's all good.
I'm not sure how being a hospital employee will effect my ranting about the health care system, likely not at all. Things are pretty fupped duck but I have to say that socialized health care is equally scarry.
That is crazy! I am glad that it was just the sunscreen. I can't wait to see your mums. I got a few for the porches but I am really over the whole flower thing. i have watered and took care of them enough! love ya
so i was thinking that when i come to visit we should all carve a pumpkin :)
i cannot wait to see you and your family...it's what i am counting down too :)
p.s. i'm glad to know that the boy is doing alright!
