bare BOOBIEs strike again!

I'm sorry to do it but I have to gripe about a Nursing cough cough mom!

Ouch, now that I have been slapped repeatedly! I will get on with my story!

So I took Cameron and Bailey to the Library today for story hour. Tons of fun for the little ones, personally I feel like I am trapped in an episode of Barney) Besides the point, So there are about, oh, 6 mommy's in the group today, Ranging in age from Granny on down , the kidos are allowed to runaround and play while the sweet little old lady reads over noise and running around. there is one lady in particular that is there with her (cough cough) baby. Nice lady appearing to be the little one's granny, she inquired about bailey and Cameron's ages, and I responded and asked about "her little one" Now in my head I wanted to ask her if it was her granddaughter, Normally my big mouth would have open up and inserted my foot, but for some reason today it just didn't like the taste of my shoes, so I kept my mouth shut and turned my attention back to sweet little old lady. Story time is over I gather up our belongings and turn to leave to find "Granny" fully exposed Left breast in hand nursing HER baby! I tried to smile sweetly and say good bye hoping beyond hope that she didn't notice the shock and disbelief in my eyes!

it just caught me soooooo off guard, because in my mind I had determined this women to be this babies Granny, then to be slapped in the face with the realization that she is the mom really threw me for a loop! and I have never seen a 45+ year old women nurse a baby! It just doesn't look right, But the part that really shocked me was SHE WAS COMPLETELY HANGING OUT! I'm talking NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC here people!

I am a big advocate for breastfeeding, I do think that it is THE BEST for our little ones and that you should do the deed for as long as possible. But I am also a big advocate for being DISCREET! I do not believe that you should have to leave the room to nurse, or have to miss out on anything just because the baby needs to eat, but I do think that you should do your best to keep your business covered. Either use a blanket or nursing tops that allow access to the goods with out hanging out, or even if you don't have nursing shirts or a blanket you can still nurse with out letting our 45+ year old girls that were already laying on your lap before you had a baby hang out for everyone to see!

OK I'm sorry I'm sure I'm gonna piss of someone with this post, so sorry you should have been there!

Haydenism

Hayden singing this morning:

"Row row row your boat gently down the street, merrily merrily merrily merrily life is but a scream" aaaaahhhhhh!!!

happy frickin Birthday

Well its official I'm in my last year of my 20's! I look back 10 years and think about how far I have come.......its unreal!
Lets wander down this section of highway in my life, shall we ...

after a rough and tumble freshmen year of college with many firsts, first time being away from home, first one in the immediate family to "go away" to college, Lost something very close at heart, first time trying pot, failing a class, lets make that classes, came home for summer, had my first and only shoplifting adventure (turned out much worse than I had anticipated) went back to NC for round 2, this year was much better!

19 (1998) I finally realized that I needed to improve my image If I ever wanted averyniceguy to pay attention to me. So I went from wearing PJ's to class everyday to short skirts that I had to borrow from my friends! (It paid off as only a short skirt can!) In case you were a little fearful of the mental image I was a size 8 then.

20 (1999) Rockin steady balancing classes, softball, a steady man, partying, insane friends That did the best partying! To many great memories this year to recount all of them!

21 (2000) Senior year of college, softball finished up! (and nontosoon, talk about burn out, still haven't picked up a glove since that last day!

22 (2001) Student teaching, 9/11, passed out in front of Brian's mom, ended up needing a pace maker

23 (2002) got my pacemaker put in, got my first job, moved 3 hours away from Brian, (that sucked), had my first place (that was cool, to bad I didn't know anyone in the area to make it that much better) Brian realized that his arrangement sucked too! got engaged!

24 (2003) Got married moved back to where Brian was, got new job

25 (2004) got pregnant

26 (2005) Quit job, to stay home with baby! (that was so worth it) oops got pregnant again!

27 (2006) Gave birth to little man Cameron! Moved back to the place of my birth after being gone nearly 10 years... Stressful, straining time on the marriage and all, but we worked through it and ended up:

28 (2007) pregnant again! (2008) moved AGAIN!

29 (2008) I'm sitting in whatusedtobe my bedroom typing on my moms computer completely oblivious to what my 3 angels are doing in the living room! how time flies and the memories flood back! I have had a lot of happy memories over the past 10 years a couple fuzzy blurry time this I/we could forget, but mostly this has been a great ride so far! and I am very excite to think about that the next 10 years will bring! Hayden will be 13, Cameron 12, bailey 11!

I could embellish in any of these year but, I don't like this key board, so as you read leave a comment if there is any year you would like me to describe further! I'll do so when I get home on my computer!

Allergic to Sunscreen? Or maybe not!

OK so Bailey had her 6mo. check up at the Dr yesterday (she is up to 15.5lbs and is 25" long) So while there I asked DR Meyers about Cameron's ER visit....and she said that his reaction doesn't necessarily mean he is allergic to sunscreen. She said that if I had gotten it in his eyes it could cause the same reactions. She explained that the runny nose would have been a direct connection with his eyes watering and the inability to open his eyes real well would obviously be because he had sunscreen in them, and as long as I didn't notice the rash anywhere else on his body that that is probably what happened. But she did recommend that I use the sunscreen that comes in a stick (like oversize chap stick) and she said I didn't necessarily have to change sunscreen (good thing it doesn't look good when the Mary Kay lady can't put Mary Kay sunscreen on her kids) She also told me that she had the same thing happen with her daughter and she didn't change her sunscreen. So, made me feel a little better! ANY WHO!!!

So the BIG APPLEUMPKIN festival is coming up THIS WEEKEND and I am so jazzed! I just need a volunteer to keep my children so that I can go and look at "crafty crap" and daudle (or maybe that's dawdle) and oogle and stare and walk slowly and not have to run little man to the over used porta potty, and not have to listen fighting and whining and If I happen to have, Oh I don't know $30 or $40 buck in my pocket I will spend it on crap for myself and my cute little house (that produced nothing from the open house, Oh happy day) and I can eat Kettle corn and not have to share it with 2 sets of dirty hands!

ANY TAKERS ON THE KIDS?!?!? DON'T MAKE ME BEG PEOPLE! I'm HAVE NO SHAME i WILL and I can whine really well too, Hayden has showed me how to do that he is an expert (if you didn't know) I am willing to split them up too, If you can only take one or two we can find arrangement for the others!!!!!!!

NO, OK then I will forgot going to the most amazing "crafty crap" event of the year (that is besides Letchworth) I will not spent my 30 to 40 bucks on things for myself or my cute little House (which didn't produce anything at the open house, oh happy day, Oh wait I already said that, sorry) Well my timer is about to go off that means that I have to vacate the premises and go for my power walk with the little ones and pick up the other little one from school!

wow what a weekend!

Well he had a great week, (till Saturdays scare) Friday I got to pick up mums from Hayden's school, they were beautiful! I decorated my front porch and walk way with them! (I will post a picture soon) Friday mom and Justin came for the weekend, we had a fun night and then Saturday we were up and getting ready for the Colgate football game, this is when the fun began! We walked to the game, and the boys fell asleep in the double stroller, so I stayed down on the grass with them till they got up (about half time) Then we went up in the bleachers with Mom and Justin, it was really sunny so when we sat down I put sunscreen on the boys. Then left to take Hayden and Justin to the restrooms and to get something to drink. When we got back (about 15 minutes later), there was something majorly wrong with Cameron. He was very glassy eyed, breaking out in a rash, his eyes were extremely blood shot and watering, his nose was running like mad and he was kinda droopy...(weird, very weird)...he hadn't eaten since breakfast, so I ran him down to the food stand and got him something to eat and drink, he didn't want the drink, and he only ate the cookie, all the while his symptoms seemed to get worse. I thought maybe I got sunscreen in his eyes, so I tried to wash it out with some water.....took him back up in the stands with mom, we went back and forth about what we should do, take him home or go to the hospital, finally got Brian's attention down on the field, and ran him down to Brian, (cause Brian's the level headed one) he said take him to the hospital, OK then (thankfully its right next to the football stadium) After checking in at the ER at 3:15 (Cameron looking like death with runny eyes and nose) we WAITED and waited and WAITED, and we waited long enough that whatever was wrong seemed to be going away....and by the time we finally saw the doctor...Cameron had gone from lethargic to bouncing off the walls...still with mildly bloodshot watery eyes and runny nose. The Doctor deemed him worthy of Benedryll and said he suspects that Cameron is allergic to sunscreen! WHAT!!! (I have used this same sunscreen all summer) At 5:45 we walked out of the ER with a perfectly happy 2 year old and a piece of paper saying that they would bill us for there expertise!

gotta love this Health Care System we have, I do have to say, Thank you God i guess it could have been worse!

what do you do with a fair skinned kid who can't wear sunscreen!?!

my two dream jobs!

Well, I have been told by several people lately that I need to start doing photography professionally! How do you do that? don't get me wrong, I would love to, I think it would be amazing to be asked to photograph someones children or their wedding! I took Cameron to get his pictures done for his 2nd Brithday, and the lady literally had a white sheet nailed to the wall, a couple different drop cloths, MY SAME digital camera, and one umbrella photography light! and her pictures (see left) came out gourgous! i want to do this, I paid (actually my mother-in-law) paid $30 for the sitting fee and then Erin (the photographer) does all the editing on photoshop, and sells you the CD with all the pictures on it for $50 bucks and you can print them where ever you want to! I CAN DO THAT!

My other dream job would be to open up a "crap" store, you know like one of those stores that has all the cute country style stuff in it, like the old post office in alexander, or the shop on Harper Rd in Darien! again, how do you get started and (wow the investment) and there are so many shops like that its rediculous!

much to much to be a comment

so "the mister" had this really great post...."what the hell am I doing" over on his blog Simple Terms....so go and read his post (click the link above) then come back and read my post....

Ok did you all do your homework?

Great well then lets continue on then.....

I think everyone in our age bracket (27-35) that has kids is struggling with the same reality....and that is....where did time go?, when did my crazy college days become my raging poopie diaper days, and why can I not sleep past 7AM, wasn't it just yesterday that I couldn't even drag myself out of bed by noon. I also think alot of the time (especially when you have had one of those nights laying on the short peoples floor all night) that we start to contimplate what our lives would be like had we not taken the road we are currently riding down! What if we had continued to date soandso in highschool, what if that almost car accident that you barely missed the day you got your license had happened, what if you had hooked up with thisperson and it didn't work out, and What if we had decided not to get married, what if we had decided not to have all our children by the time we were 30, What would we be doing had certain jobs come and and not gone? Deep down we want the best of both worlds, we want the family and awesome children, and being the stay at home mom or working dad (as the case maybe), and all that jazz, but at the same time we want our freedom, the ability to go and do and just be ourselves, for some the excitement and roller coaster of being self-employed looks so amazing, but when its not just you anymore, that sense of responsibility and commitment take over and that is when you realize......................you grew up.............then we beat ourself up for even thinking those thoughts.....But Its ok, I think to some degree we all lay awake at night wondering and if we could only have that crystal ball to look into the future, we would probably see that all these things that we thought were a drag, was what life is all about anyway.....In the words of my farovite singer of all time Garth Brooks: "Some of God's greatest gifts are all too often unanswered... Some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers"

or the words of another great country singer Trace Adkins
She was staring out the window of their SUV
Complaning, saying "I can't wait to turn 18"
She said "I'll make my own money,
and I'll make my own rules"
Mamma put the car in park
out there in front of the school
Then she kissed her head and said
"I was just like you"
You're gonna miss this
You're gonna want this back
You're gonna wish these days
hadn't gone by so fast

These are some good times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you're gonna miss this
Before she knows it she's a brand new bride
In a one-bedroom apartment,
and her daddy stops by
He tells her "It's a nice place"
She says "It'll do for now"
Starts talking about babies and buying a house
Daddy shakes his head and says
"Baby, just slow down"
Cause you're gonna miss this
You're gonna want this back
You're gonna wish these days
hadn't gone by so fast
These are some good times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you're gonna miss this
five years later theres a plumber
workin on the water heater,
dogs barkin, phones ringin,
one kid cryin, one kids screamin',
and she keeps apologizin'
he says they don't bother me
I've got two babies of my own
Ones thirty-six, ones twenty three
huh, its hard to believe
but, your gonna miss this
Your gonna want this back
your gonna wish these days
hadn't gone by so fast
these are some good times
so take a good look around
You may not know it now
but your gonna miss this.

After downing a huge piece, Hayden looks at me (with sauce all over his face looking much like a tiger off a national geographic special that just finished off some unsespecting animal) and says as only Hayden can say "mommy that was rearry Tasty! I would like some more!"

Sure Tiger!!!! go get um!

When its spelled meme why isn't it pronounced "me me"

Ok "mister", here it goes:

So this thing with i am about to embark on is called a Meme (pronounced meem)

what I am to do is:
Link the person who tagged me (See "mister" above)

Give Rules:
1) rattle off 6 quirks (you know things about yourself that others might find odd in some way)

2)Then tag 6 more blogs leaving links to their blogs

3) then leave comments on their blogs to let them know that you intend for them to follow suit! (follow me?)

Well here are my quirks:
1. I have horrible hygene (I have 3 small children, when does a mom have time to be hygenic? I want to know someone please tell me. I get to shower like 3 (on a good week 4) times a week, i most times forget to brush my teeth, till i'm out the door and heading down the road already. I think I have come to despise taking a shower because it take to much time. But I promise I do and when I do I take a long one and pay particular attention to all the important areas! get my drift!!!!! (hahahah I made my self laugh out loud that pun was intended)

2. I love eating rasberry Jam on my grilled cheese sandwich! (just try it)

3. I cannot clean food out of the sink drain, I immediately start the gag reflex

4. When calling out a pair of names I will often times switch the first letter examples:
Grynn and Brady
Shen and Jaun

5. I would love to be as creative and decorative as Martha Stewart

6. I have a very hard time going against what an "adult" says, It hasent' dawned on
me yet that I'm the adult (i'm almost 30) For example, When I was teaching i had
this much older teacher who used to like to throw her weight around (and she had
some to throw around) and I would feel like I had to do what she said "because
she was an "adult"" Even though I wanted to tell her she was nuts and what she
was saying made no sence at all. she was just being an "old Lady" (make sense?)
No well sorry I can't really explain it any better.

Ok now for 6 blogs:
I read : The Mister, (he tells great stories about his kids, and his life as a working dad, who is the bread winner for his GROWING family! the misters missus at the Dayton Time, (I pee myself on a daily basis when I read her blog, actually go there right now todays post is about me!) My college buddie over at The McCurry's, (Tracy has been busy and with out the internet for a while so her posts are few and far between) then for good measure I like to catch up on some blogs that the Missus of Dayton Time references on her blog.....they would be Confessions of a CF Husband, (If you think you have it bad this Guy will put it in perspective for you! he is living a life that not many people could wake up to everyday! God Made him a strong Man for good reason! and lets not forget Wind in your Vagina (only started reading this one because I almost peed my self when I read the title of the blog, no its not porn) and last but not least The Pioneer Women, she has some amazing photography and an awesome story to tell!

Well hope you enjoy my meme!!!!! (pronounced meem)

Saving Hamilton's Obese Children!

Well it's not gonna happen (at least not for a while) After a much needed support group meeting (including me and Brian) i have decided tonotto submit my application for Graduate School (yet). When you have no desire to go back and furthur your education, does it make any sence at all? Well, none that I can think of. And to be Frank, frank who's frank, frank says that I don't really like teaching all that much anyway. I'm not the kind of teacher that my mom is. She is a great teacher and puts her heart and soul into her classroom and "her kids". I am the teacher who hits the doors to the parking lot running just as hard as the kids do at 3:15. I often times look at teaching and think how wonderful it would be working 7:30-3:30 weekends off, holidays off, summers off, kids who will listen to instruction and do as they are told, kids that are ready and willing to particiapte, but then I take my rose colored glasses (you know those big ones that mom used to wear in 1987) off, and I see: Kids who don't care about being in Physical Education, other Physical Education teachers that started teaching Physical Education because it was, well I hate to say it "P.E." or (let me not be struck dead by Dr. Hunt), "GYM". (aaaahhhhh, I can feel her eyes burning a whole through the back of my head) And I see the schools who have no budget for Physcial Education equipment, so you are forced to teach with broken and very dated equipment. No wonder the kids don't want to participate. Physical Education class can be fun, but you have to have teachers who care (and I dont' think I care that much right now) and Money to support your equipment needs. So................................

lets talk about my beautiful children now...........

First up:

BAILEY RAE aka baby rae (cameron's Alias for her) for some reason Hayden and Cameron are the only ones who call her by her first and middle name. (its actually very cute) anyway, Bailey is trying to crawl, she gets up on her hands and knees then she falls back down to her belly, actually when you think about it she looks like an inch worm. and she is starting to say "mamamamamama". and she loves her jumparoo. she jumps so much she makes me nausious watching her.

Nest up:
CAMERON is busy being 2....today I was down stairs vaccuuming and I stopped to check on him and Hayden (they were out in the back yard) Cameron was busy putting his lawnmower and himself in to the blue plastic pool, he was fully dresses, just enjoying standing in the water in his jeans that are to big and cover his feet, (mind you its like 67Degrees here) and then getting out and getting back in....

And finally:
HAYDEN has made friends at school!!!!!! he told me he likes playing cars with Jack and Mica (mhica?) whatever....He was so cute today, when we got there to pick him up, they were just finishing up and they were singing a song that had movements to it. I just enjoyed watching him (him not knowing I was watchin) he was so happy and it was obvious he was thourghly enjoying himself. Then he saw Cameron and he broke from the group to come and give Cameron a hug. I hope they are always that excited to see eachother!

AHHH, House Saga continues yet again...

Wow, well I spoke to soon, ye'ole land lord called today, to inform me that I need to prepare the homestead for an OPEN HOUSE! CRAP people.......so now on September 20 from 11-1 I have to have my house spotless and vacate the premesis so the realator can wait for countless people that will be lined up knocking down the door to check out our house....(I say that with scarcasm because this house has been for sale for more that a year, and it sits right on the main drag, so if you live anywhere near here and drive up and down 12B you already know that the house has been for sale for A LONG TIME, and they are all probably wondering what is wrong with it because it hasn't sold...my two cents is to take it off the market, rent it to us till the school year is over and then put it on the market again! AND drop the price!)

Quote of the week from Hayden:

Hayden what did you do at school today?

"play and learn"

House Saga has come to a close (for now)

Well, they called today and said it was a no go on selling the house, we are in the clear for now! I can't tell you how much of a relief that is!!! Yeah!!!

Lets see here in our world, I am undergoing the internal battle of going back to get my masters or not!!! I really don't want to, but I do think that at some point I need to go back to working and if I do I would like to go back to teaching pe, and here in the great state of NY they say you have to have a masters degree to teach the young minds of this country! So now here we are living paycheck to paycheck, looking at about another $20,000 in debt! you would think at the, oh i don't know, 8-10 odd colleges of us, that one of them would offer a degree on-line, but of course they don't that would be too easy....so I guess I will have to pay for a liberal arts degree from Canisius because they do! Wish me luck, I have to come up with an essay stating why I I want to get my degree, I wonder if they would accept, "Because NY State says I have to" as an answer.

A pain in my A##

Literally, I have a pain in my ass, I got stung by a bee yesterday, the bugger got me 6 times before I could drop my shorts and get it off, Then to add insult to injury, my ass swelled up like crazy. so now I have a huge swollen spot on an already large area of my body!

This all happened when I was trying to set-up or EZ-up tent in the back yard because we have no shade, and nowhere to escape the scorching sun!

We have a bees nest under the shed, they are small looking bumble bees, I guess when I stepped back into the shed to get the stakes to stake the sucker (the tent) down, it (the bee) must have flew up my shorts, and of course I wasn't wearing short shorts (because, when two thighs love eachother the way my thighs do, you can't keep them seperated with a 5" inseam, they just devour those things so they can get at eachother, much like lovers who think its kinky to start out with "lingere", that stuff is superficial, its gotta come off to get the deed done, ya know!!!, same concempt with shorts that have a 5" inseam or shorter, my thight just shove those babies up into a good ole wedge so that they can rub on eachother "every step of the way"!!) Back to what I was saying about the frickin' bee....

So the thing ended up stinging me about 6X's before I finally did a show for the neighbors and dropping my pants and it finally disconnected its self from my rump and flew off, i hope he died a miserable death, because, man did that hurt!

PS: No news is good news on the house, right!!!!
