much to much to be a comment

so "the mister" had this really great post...."what the hell am I doing" over on his blog Simple Terms....so go and read his post (click the link above) then come back and read my post....

Ok did you all do your homework?

Great well then lets continue on then.....

I think everyone in our age bracket (27-35) that has kids is struggling with the same reality....and that is....where did time go?, when did my crazy college days become my raging poopie diaper days, and why can I not sleep past 7AM, wasn't it just yesterday that I couldn't even drag myself out of bed by noon. I also think alot of the time (especially when you have had one of those nights laying on the short peoples floor all night) that we start to contimplate what our lives would be like had we not taken the road we are currently riding down! What if we had continued to date soandso in highschool, what if that almost car accident that you barely missed the day you got your license had happened, what if you had hooked up with thisperson and it didn't work out, and What if we had decided not to get married, what if we had decided not to have all our children by the time we were 30, What would we be doing had certain jobs come and and not gone? Deep down we want the best of both worlds, we want the family and awesome children, and being the stay at home mom or working dad (as the case maybe), and all that jazz, but at the same time we want our freedom, the ability to go and do and just be ourselves, for some the excitement and roller coaster of being self-employed looks so amazing, but when its not just you anymore, that sense of responsibility and commitment take over and that is when you realize......................you grew up.............then we beat ourself up for even thinking those thoughts.....But Its ok, I think to some degree we all lay awake at night wondering and if we could only have that crystal ball to look into the future, we would probably see that all these things that we thought were a drag, was what life is all about anyway.....In the words of my farovite singer of all time Garth Brooks: "Some of God's greatest gifts are all too often unanswered... Some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers"

or the words of another great country singer Trace Adkins
She was staring out the window of their SUV
Complaning, saying "I can't wait to turn 18"
She said "I'll make my own money,
and I'll make my own rules"
Mamma put the car in park
out there in front of the school
Then she kissed her head and said
"I was just like you"
You're gonna miss this
You're gonna want this back
You're gonna wish these days
hadn't gone by so fast

These are some good times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you're gonna miss this
Before she knows it she's a brand new bride
In a one-bedroom apartment,
and her daddy stops by
He tells her "It's a nice place"
She says "It'll do for now"
Starts talking about babies and buying a house
Daddy shakes his head and says
"Baby, just slow down"
Cause you're gonna miss this
You're gonna want this back
You're gonna wish these days
hadn't gone by so fast
These are some good times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you're gonna miss this
five years later theres a plumber
workin on the water heater,
dogs barkin, phones ringin,
one kid cryin, one kids screamin',
and she keeps apologizin'
he says they don't bother me
I've got two babies of my own
Ones thirty-six, ones twenty three
huh, its hard to believe
but, your gonna miss this
Your gonna want this back
your gonna wish these days
hadn't gone by so fast
these are some good times
so take a good look around
You may not know it now
but your gonna miss this.

Wow... thanks... I'm totally not getting all choked up over a Trace Adkins song. Not at all, cause I'm tough. (sniff) Thanks for the link to my post. I'm also totally not going to hit send and go look for a tissue.
