Smokin Mushrooms with the kids

so Now that I have your attention let me tell you the rest of the story. We had the neighbors over yesterday for New Years. I served smores, you know the classis campfire treat. I came across this indoor smores maker in the bottom cupboard the other day (because the people who moved out left it behind) and I thought it would be fun. So after looking all over for Sterno (a gel fuel for chafeing dishes) we were in business w/ our indoor smores making. So Hayden and I are busy roasting up a marshmallow when the neighbors come in the back door. Hayden turns around all excited about the whole roasting marshmallow thing and says to Karen who was first in the door, "Come on we're Smokin Mushrooms."

Happy New Year Everyone! Come Smoke some "Mushrooms" with us.

That is a great story. Were the neighbors amused?

Oh yea, they got a good Laugh out of it, and stated that maybe we should all hang out more often!

On a similar topic, have you taught your children the old catchphrase for shrooms? Uncle Chippolds used to call them the Boomie-Booms. The under five set is hi-larious when they march around shouting Boomie-BOOM-BOOM!!!
