House Saga returns

So, way back whenever it was that I posted about the house being shown the last time, We were informed by the Realtor that if the house sold we would have 60 days to move out. OR if we found some place else we could give our landlords a 60 day notice.

So we found a place, its amazing. Its a BARN see pic below. Not exactly homey looking but its a great appartment. There are 2 appartments in this establishment. We would have the one on the far side. Its got 2 1/2 bathrooms 4 bedrooms a HUGE livingroom/diningroom/kitchen with a great yard that we can fence in and do with what we like. The BEST Part: its a LONG TERM rental, we can have it indefinatley, and its WAY cheaper than our current house:.

So the house was shown again this last friday. its 50/50 if anything will happen. So we were talking to the Owner of the RealEstate company about our lease and mentioned the 60 day clause. And she responded "What 60 day clause. You are commited to this lease till May 31st."
That is when we learned that we are screwed. The Barn is avaliable March 1st and we need out of our lease. So if you are the praying kind. Please pray that this house would sell so that we would not have to pay to get out of our lease. and If it does not sell pray that money would be avaliable to buy out of our lease and have enough to pay the deposit and 1st months rent on the Barn.

I'll keep you posted...

get out a copy of your lease and read it. also? send a copy to your parents and have them read it, and possibly take it to their lawyer to find an out. it sounds like the realtor/owners are playing a game of duckduck with you. also talk to the barn apt. people...they might be able to work something out. don't be afraid to ask the stupid questions, because sometimes those are the ones people need to hear. i'll be praying.
