So, I went to the Cardiologist yesterday for my new patient visit so that i could then get set up for my Pacemaker checks, cause I am due for one this month! while there, with 2 out of 3 children, Brian was able to take Hayden to work with him, Cameron had to come w/ me so he could get his Hep A shot, and Bailey, well bailey had to come w/ me because she isn't allowed in the mens locker rooms at colgate. So after getting the troops in to the office and then being forced to wait for over an hour, we finally got to see the doctor!
a very nice women, foreign accent, kinda hard to hear her very softspoken voice. Actually I think she would have made a great physcologist. She had a way of looking at you and half ask a question half make a statement and then just stop in what seemed to be the middle of a thought and just look at you and smile, I just felt compelled to start blabbering, like Chunk on Goonies.
Anyway, I had my exam and while she was listening to my heart beat, she stopped and asked me If I felt anything?
Uuummm, No.?.
She listens again..makes the questioning statement "you don't feel anything?".
No?
then looks at the nurse and orders up an immediate pacemaker check along with a gambit of other tests and then asks me some more questions, like how much Coffee do you drink, do you drink a lot of water, do you exercise, have you had your cholesterol checked recently?
Ummm, well I drink maybe 4 cups of coffee everyday, forget to drink anything the rest of the day,, I do walk everyday, I.. Yes I have had my cholesterol checked, now that I think about it and it was 220, Is that bad?
Well seeing as your heart rate is over 100 right now YES! you need a STRESS TEST!!!! Monday morning 8:30 AM!!! In the mean time Cut your coffee back to 2 cups eventually i would I would like it down to 1 cup, drink lots of water, keep walking!
ONE CUP OF COFFEE, ONE CUP! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! knowing that the coffee is perking (because I set it up the night before) is what gets me out of bed most mornings, Not the cry of my lovelies up stairs calling my name over and OVER AND OVER again...begging me to get them out of there pee soaked pj's and sheets! its that smell of Maxwell House brewing in the kitchen, and the thought of getting to pour and drink an ENTIRE cup before it gets cold. Just that thought is what forces me out of my nice warm bed, to run to the kitchen and grab a mug and pour out some steaming hot black goodness and sip it slowly, till I finally can't take the hollering from up stairs anymore and put my cup down to get cold while I go get the Pee Bodies out of there beds! I digress.....
OK Doc! See you Monday Morning!

This is not a problem. I went from swilling coffee all day to doing one cup in the morning and swilling water all day.
If the receptors in your brain aren't totally jammed with caffeine, one good cup of mud in the morning will keep you going all day. (And by cup I mean a 12oz travel mug and not one of those 6oz pseudo-mugs marked on the side of the maker.)
If you find yourself sagging in the middle of the morning or afternoon, just eat a little something. Those 100 calorie snacks work fine, all you need is a little boost. And watering up helps your energy level too.
He's on crack.
God bless ya (since you like SP, I thought I'd toss you a little) fer tryin' ta give up the cahfee.
I have no suggestions for you. When I was prego with HB I was having heart racing issues, and they told me to get off the coffee.
I'm still alive, and so is Henny, so whatever.
YOU, on the other hand, better get your crap together. And I'm just being diplomatic.
