flash back

So, Hayden's teacher called today at about 9:30 and said that I should probably come and get him, he had just been laying around and claiming that he didn't feel good. Lets rewind to wednesday, I got to school and Ms. Jen said that Hayden had a bad day (which was a first, to my surprise), he had hit a kid, and then was disrespectful toward both the teachers. So we had a serious conversation about behavior at school, he claimed that he didn't feel good yesterday afternoon, but was laughing and playing with cameron like normal. So we didn't do anything to special, they were actually in bed by 7:30 and didnt get up till 7:30 this morning. Fast forward to this morning: I get up stairs to wake Hayden up, he is already awake and first thing out of his mouth is that he feels good and is ready for Breakfast! Ok then, lets get rollin, get dressed, down stairs, eat toast (that's all they ever want) brush teeth, coat and shoes on, out the door. Now back to the top: So about 9:40 I get to hayden's school, I meet Ms. Jen at the door, we are discussing him, I look over her shoulder to see him layin like a slug on the mat in the corner, he sees me and comes running all smiles and happy, Ms. Jen and I both give eachother the look, ( you know the look like maybe he is trying to pull one over on us) And we start to discuss that thought and all of a sudden, a volcano of toast and milk comes spewing out of Hayden all over our feet! (LOVELY, just LOVELY)

My flash back came all of a sudden when the nursery school director caming running with that "kitty litter" stuff! It took me right back to the Foyer at Alexander Elementary school, in 1985, I was in 1st grade, Mrs. Waldrens class, we were just coming from lunch, it was fall or winter, wer were taking a little tour of the big Display that Mrs. Rudolph had set up. We were on the side by the Library I sat down on the bench that used to be there, little girl Harrison started crabbing at me for sitting down and not following the line, and just as she stopped in front of me, I GOT HER! I remember feeling like crap but also feeling slightly jubilent, because I had gotten HER! and then the Maintence men came with that same stuff, the orangeish-yellowish, kitty litter stuff!

You are a whole 'nother kind if you remember gloating about barfing on somebody in the first grade. Poor Mrs. Waldron. She was so kind, and you didn't pick up any of that?!?!?!?
