Its Maple Syrup Season!!!

Well its that time of year again, the sap is flowing and the Maple Tree Inn is open. Mom has had an extended weekend from school so we took the boys and went way down to the southerntier for Buckwheat pancakes and fresh maple syrup! it was so good. For those of you who don't know or have never experienced the Maple Tree Inn, it is a good hour, maybe hour and a half, ride down to the middle of nowhere, were talking Deliverance country here, to a restaurant that is only open from the second week of Feb. to the middle of April. It has become a family tradition that you make the pilgrimage to M.T.I. at least once a season, most times more than once its that good, when you get there you are greeted by the nicest people that usually look like their fashion is stuck in 1980 and you eat Buckwheat Pancakes, sausage and syrup and drink coffee till you feel like you are going to bust! (personally i get a Maple Syrup Milk Shake too, its the BEST) I wish everyone could make the trip to dine there at least once in their lives! The boys loved it they ate 3 huge pancakes a piece and ham and Hayden drank most of my Milk Shake, little stinker, I will have to make sure he gets his own next time.

Switching gears, We had two boys that slept all the way through the night last night and didn't wake up till almost 8 this AM!!! Praise God!!! and its 8:45 pm right now and they have been in bed asleep for the last 45 minutes already!!!!!!! I am so excited!!!

I have been having pretty constant low back pain all afternoon, occasionally it will come around to my abdomen but i have just felt weird all evening....I know I am setting myself up for disappointment, but maybe I'm in the beginning stages of Labor! It was very different with both the boys...so I am expecting it to be quite different with her too! This would be different! Oh well I guess I should go and enjoy sometime just sitting and watching a little TV...besides my heartburn just kicked in....got to find those tums!

Oh I also wanted to say Hi to Julie, and thanks for reading my blog, besides Tracy I don't know of anyone else that reads this! I have to get on to my other computer and use it to upload pictures, I'm not allowed to put any on this computer is my Husband work computer. Then I can put some up dated pics of me and the kids on here!

Race fans

Wow what an anti-climatic end to the Daytona 500. Jr. screwed up and stayed out when he should have pitted, and ended up finishing, what, 10th...dang...and When was the last time Newman won a race? in the 90's?

Well its another blustery day here on the 100 acre farm...the wind is blowing so hard it is making the windows whistle. Which is a very eerie sound. it woke me up a couple times last night, after not getting to bed when i wanted to because a certain little boy would not cooperate and go to sleep. Cameron was up till almost 11:30 after putting him down at 8pm. Then he and Hayden both woke up a couple times during the night, I think it was because of the wind who knows.

You know what I am not looking forward too....the fact that i have 2 boys that still don't sleep through the night on a regular basis. Granted they aren't up for very long, but they still require one of us to go into the room and reassure them that everything is ok. and they never both wake up at the same time, they give you just enough time to fall back to sleep and then the other one starts. Add a newborn baby to the mix and things at our house should be lots of fun for the next few months. Well i guess that's about it for now, I still have that basket of laundry to fold guess I should get on that....

What to do...

My mom came and picked up the boys this morning and now I am without children for the rest of the weekend. What does one do....I am having a pampered chef party this afternoon and I really need to clean up, I need a shower and that means i can actually take the time to do my hair and make-up. I have a basket of laundry to fold. Or I could just take the next couple hours and do nothing. its weird, when you have children you love them more than anything, but when you have been shut in the house for several days and they are about to drive you crazy, its nice when someone offers to pick them up for you so you can have some time to yourself, but then you are bored...they are my entertainment without them I don't know what Brian and i would do...we probably would have driven each other crazy by now. I can't believe we will celebrate 5 years this summer, didn't we just get married yesterday? Well I guess I will take advantage of the time I have and shower and actually make myself presentable. Wish me luck :)

Time

Why does time have to pass faster as your get older? Just when you start to appreciate each day and wish there was more time in a day and days in a month they pass so quickly. (granted with 2 kids under 3 some days I can't wait to end) anyway that is my deep thought for the day! gotta run, I clean for my mom on Thursdays! Oh Happy Valentine's day!

I am so excited about having a blog. I don't know what to write though. I guess I can just brag about the boys. Cameron is growing like a weed. He is already wearing 2T clothes. On Sunday he wore the outfit that Hayden wore for his Second Birthday pictures. His feet are huge I just bought Hayden new socks that are 3-5 years and they fit Cameron better than they do Hayden.
Hayden is turning 3 in a couple more weeks. I can't believe he is 3...he definitely acts like it though. But he is still so funny, the things that come out of his mouth crack me up. a couple choice phrases like "oh crap", and "OH my god" and I think I have heard a "oh S#*T". He is still into his trains and new things are Whales he loves whales and sharks and NEMO...gotta run,

Hey, My friend (Tracy) suggested that I try doing this so that we could better keep up with each other. She has 3 kids and I am about to have 3 and its not always easy to carry on a phone conversation, but i usually have a couple minutes a day when I can get on the computer to check e-mail...so why not keep up with a blog so you all can know what is going on with the soon to be "Daniels 5". Hope I do a better job at this than with putting pictures on the computer!
