Sickness Sickness, Who wants the sickness

Ok so over here at the Daniels 5 I'm giving away sickness to whoever wants it! come one come all and get sick at our house!

So this started back in October when our dear cousin Jackie came to spend her fall break with us. The night before we made the trek to get her (she has her OWN vehicle now) Cameron decided to get some stomach bug. Seeing as he ate about a 1/2 lb of raisins before bed I thought it was just his bodies way of ridding itself of all the raisins. So Jackie came and before she left she was sick too, then her mom and dad and brother came to get her and by the time they got home saturday night they were all sick, then that week it went through the rest of us and by the next weekend we were all feeling better, so a week passes and my mom and cousin Julie come to visit, and before the end of the weekend, Julie is sickerthanadog, they leave sunday night and on monday my mom calls and says that she is sick, areallysick. so another week passes and we go to visit my mum and right before we leave Bailey and Cameron start with a runny nose and being miserable, so I took them to see the Doc before heading out of town, she says that they are both suffering from a mild cold, ears look good and they should be fine. Well while at mom's Hayden starts complaining of a headache and a fever which ended up around 104-105. To the ER we go after they scaned his cat and did blood work, they sent us home and said give him motrin and go to your Doc on monday morning (this is when Peer Hoondyke strikes) Doc says that there is a nasty bug going through town that is giving everyone VERY high fevers, some are complaining of headaches. Lets give it a couple more days and see how he does. OK, did that Hayden is better, Now its Bailey's turn she starts on Thursday night not feeling well and running a fever, go back to Doc, she says yep same bug let it run its course. We go back to Mom and Dads this past weekend for Opening day of Hunting season, Before we leave Bailey is on the upswing, but saturday cameron is running a fever and on Sunday morning his one eye is all red and watering. By the time we get home that night his eye is flaming red and running like a faucet. Monday morning call the Doc to report that Bailey is better and to ask about Cameron's eye, (does she want to see it?) Cameron is also running a 104 fever by this point, oh what was that PINK EYE is running rampit through town too, as part of this cold bug! Thanks so much. and whatwasthat, its a VIRAL strand, nothing we can do for it! thanks so much again! So now today is, Idon't know, Thursday I think, and Cameron's pink eye is in both eyes his nose is a green river of snot and he as the squirts so bad he started coughing while in the tub last night and filled the tub with "poopydoodoo"! Then when I snatched him out of the Doowater, he started coughing (which is a really croopy sounding cough) and threw up all over the bathroom mat!

Like I said, Sickness Sickness Who wants the Sickness!

"Peter Hoondyke"

So Cameron has taken on an alter-ego, He has become Peter Thorndyke.

What was that?, you don't know Peter?

Go to your local Library and rent the original Herbie the Love BUG.

The character Peter Thorndyke is Herbie's nemesis in the movie and is always grouchy (aka gouchy)

So now that you might have an idea who this movie character is (he is the same guy that plays "Mr. Banks" in Mary Poppins) let me share a story about my little Peer Hoondyke. This actually happened last week and I have been horrible about blogging lately, I blame it on the 3 little people that have all been sick for the past 2 weeks. anywho back to the story, So last Monday I had to take Hayden to the DR for a follow up after taking him to the ER over the weekend, when we a walked into the office Cameron announced with eye brows knitted up, that he was "Peer Hoondyke, I'm gouchy", then when the nurse calls us back he tells nurse Jamie "I'm gouchy Peer Hoondyke". He states this fact again when Dr Meyers comes into the room. "Peer" is not doing to bad, until Dr. Meyer and I start to discuss this nasty bug that Hayden has that has been going through the whole town, while we are discussing this "Peer Hoondyke" walks up to Dr. Meyers and tromps on her foot. All while declaring to be "Hoondyke" I wanted to pull my lip over my head and swallow! After as stern of a scolding as one child can get in front of the Dr. He was firmly placed in the chair and was told to apologize to the good Dr. He complied and we left as soon as possible.

Grouchy Peter Throndike!

Gods hand at work

So the Missus over at The Dayton Time wrote this great post about her new Freezer that was a total God thing and it reminded me of how God worked his magic in a insignificant detail of our wedding and I wanted to share it with you all. (the missus, the mister, brothersnipesmama, and jackie)

When Brian and I got married, we were living in NC and our wedding was going to be in NY, I'm not one to get to obsessed about details. So with all the planning pretty much being done by my parents, we just had to go with the flow, it ended up being a beautiful ceremony and awesome party that I wish we could afford to do every year! anywho back to the story: I had a couple detail oriented things that I really wanted and after that I didn't really care. When it came to the flowers I had seen a picture in a magazine of a bouquet all done in blue and white flowers, the blue mainly be Blue Hydrangea (my favorite) I was in love with that bouquet and that is the only thing that I really was adimit about wanting. Well as our wedding day drew closer, it because very apparent that the Blue Hydrangea wasn't going to happen (out of season and too expensive for what was available) So I sucked it up and was happy to have beautiful white ones.

The day of the wedding, the beautiful family friend that offered to do our flowers, a women of many talents one of them flower arrangements, showed up and said she had a surprise for me. she took me to her car and opened the door and there was my bouquet full of Blue Hydrangea. It was breath taking. She said the night before a fellow flower friend of hers called her and said they had a bunch of leftover Blue Hydrangea and for some reason they felt like they should call her and offer her the flowers! How amazing is that! That is God reminding us that the little things are important to him too!

UpDate on sick

after complaining of a Headache and bugs biting him in the head, and running a fever around 104-105 I finally called the DR Saturday afternoon and was told to Take Hayden to the ER. So after spending averylongtime at the Children's Hospital of Buffalo we were told this:

"continue to give him Motrin and see you Dr on Monday"

Thank you, Thank you so much for your Educated Expertise! Let me now give you all my money and praise your efforts for figuring out what is wrong with my son!

(He has a really bad cold that is going through town, the bugs biting him were a hallucination caused by his high fever)
